Q. What are Multicultural Counseling sessions like?
Beginning in our consultation call, we will take the time to learn about how your concerns are impacting your life and how you'd like things to change taking into consideration your culture, values, and beliefs. We will then work with you in a warm, caring, and non-judgmental way to help you develop greater insight into your thoughts and feelings. Then we'll help you gain clarity in what it is that you want in your life and how you can change your actions so that you can experience a rich and meaningful life that aligns with your values.

Q. How do I know if Multicultural Counseling will work for me?
While no therapist or treatment approach can guarantee results, We have helped many adults like you and have a greater understanding of how easy it can be to drift off course and how hard it can be to cope with life's many challenges while living in a society not designed for multicultural individuals. Coupled with our understanding and compassion, we also have the skills and expertise in proven treatment approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).


Q. How long do I need to be in individual therapy?

A: Individual therapy may take 12-16 sessions or longer, depending on the type of concerns. Sessions are typically held weekly for 55-minutes. A few ways that We are able to help you is by:​

  • Using proven, evidence-based individual therapy approaches to address your unique concerns

  • Administering questionnaires to measure progress over time

  • Checking in with you on a regular basis to ensure that you feel your needs are being met and that you are experiencing improvements

Q. How do we get started?
Call to schedule an initial consultation by phone so that you can get your questions answered and get an idea of what our work will look like. If we both feel we are a good fit, then we’ll schedule your appointment.
